The educational institutions in Odessa have kicked off a new academic year. This year, it began on September 2, coinciding with the city's celebration.

The primary goal of a modern teacher is to create a comfortable environment, to be present, to work and support children during difficult times, to provide them with a sense of safety and confidence, and to lay the foundation for quality education.

The first lesson titled «Vincit qui meminit (He who remembers conquers)» in the new academic year at educational institutions in Odessa was dedicated to honoring the memory of the defenders of Ukraine who lost their lives in the fight for independence and territorial integrity of our nation.

“May the nights be peaceful and the dawns happy... May everyone who misses Odessa finally return home. May the Lord protect every child, every family, and every defender. May He strengthen our warriors in their sacred duty, and may people pay their respects to those who allow us to meet the day here, in our Odessa. We can learn. Live. Dream. Achieve success. This comes at the highest cost. Thousands of lives. Thousands of voices, smiles, eyes that we must remember. We are starting. And this is already immense happiness,” – noted Elena Buynevich, the director of the Education and Science Department of Odessa City Council.
