An impressive achievement was reached by the hockey players from Odesa, who won the International Three Nations Tournament held in Austria. This tournament serves as a crucial stage in the preparation for the U18 Ice Hockey World Championship in Division 1A.

Representing the Ukrainian national team was Ilya Bobrov, a graduate of the «Dzhynestra» sports school in Odesa, serving as the main goalkeeper for the U18 team.

The opponents of the Ukrainian team in this tournament were Denmark and the host team – Austria.

In the first match, Ukraine triumphed over Denmark with a score of 3:0.

The Odesa goalkeeper made 25 saves, achieving a shutout.

In the second match, the Ukrainian team confidently defeated Austria with a score of 7:1, again thanks to the outstanding performance of the goalkeeper.

Ilya Bobrov and his coach Ruslan Korop were awarded Honorary Certificates at the «Sports Capital» ceremony in 2025 for their remarkable achievements in sports.
