Odesa is currently undergoing preparations for the winter season, which includes essential hydraulic testing of the heating networks. This step is crucial to preventing emergencies during the cold months.
The pipes are being tested for strength and tightness to minimize the risk of accidents throughout the heating season. The temperature of the heat carrier is currently kept below 40°C. Sections of the heating network that cannot be repaired are being replaced with new ones.
As part of the preparations for winter, support is being provided by the USAID Energy Security Project to municipal services.
In the last month, the KP «TMO» received four shipments of pre-insulated steel pipes along with necessary fittings and shut-off valves.
In total, the enterprise has received pre-insulated steel pipes with polyurethane insulation:
- diameter 325 — 816 meters;
- diameter 219 — 24 meters;
- diameter 108 — 78 meters;
- diameter 57 — 14 meters.
Additionally, KP «TMO» has also received: ball valves, heat shrinkable fittings, fixed supports, connecting hoses, sealing rings, joint insulation kits, and compensatory cushions.
This assistance will facilitate further planned work on replacing damaged heating networks.
KP «TMO» urges residents and visitors of Odesa to park their vehicles only in designated areas and to avoid approaching any locations where ground subsidence has been noticed. They also ask to report such instances to the specialized center for prompt response in municipal services — 15-01.
