Commemoration of the Holodomor Victims in Ukraine

On November 23rd, a commemoration was held in Odesa to honor the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, a tragedy that left deep scars in Ukraine's history.

This horrific event caused immense suffering to the Ukrainian people, and during Soviet times, it was forbidden to speak of it. However, the memory of this tragedy has been preserved in the hearts of the people, passed down through generations.

Today, we speak openly about these events so that the world knows and remembers the millions of innocent lives lost due to the genocide perpetrated by the Soviet regime. This year, we once again honor the victims of Stalin's genocide amidst the full-scale war being waged by Russia against the Ukrainian people.

Every year on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine commemorates the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and the mass famines of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947.
