Today, a new set of information stands dedicated to 144 fallen defenders of Ukraine was unveiled at the Memorial Alley in Shevchenko Park.
Overall, there is information about 421 heroes displayed at the Memorial Alley. The effort to honor their memory is ongoing.
“Each of these heroes represents a piece of the immense strength that has allowed Ukraine to endure and continue its fight for a free future. Their bravery is the foundation of our independence, and we must always remember this. Thanks to their selflessness, we are able to live, work, and build the future of our country today,” said the Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov.
At the request of the families, Christmas trees have also been set up next to the alley, which children from the families of fallen defenders will decorate with handmade ornaments as part of the St. Nicholas Day celebration.
