In Odessa, 25 critical intersections have been identified that significantly impact traffic safety in the city.

During emergency power outages, the municipal enterprise «SMEP» collaborates with the Patrol Police to monitor traffic light functionality.

All key intersections are equipped with large uninterruptible power supplies, ensuring traffic lights operate autonomously for 4 to 8 hours.

If necessary, «SMEP» replaces batteries, and in emergency situations, it connects generators in coordination with the Department of Transport to maintain traffic light operations.

While replacing batteries and connecting generators, the Patrol Police manage traffic at the intersections.

Drivers are urged to stay vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations.
