On October 3-4, 2024, the forum titled «Financial Resilience and Community Economic Development» took place in Lviv as part of the Ukrainian Resilience Week.
This significant event brought together representatives from local self-governments, banking institutions, and financial experts to discuss pressing issues in local finance.
Among the speakers at the forum were Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniienko, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, and representatives from the European Union and USAID.
Odesa was represented by Acting Director of the Finance Department Andrii Zarytskyi.
During the event, participants engaged in discussions to address challenges related to local finances for the economic development of communities.
The forum also included a study visit to the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center, which provides medical assistance to military personnel and civilians with injuries.
Panel discussions focused on crucial topics such as cooperation with international financial organizations, local tax administration, challenges faced by local financial authorities, collaboration tools between banks and municipalities, energy independence, and labor market inclusivity.
