The Most Blessed Metropolitan Epiphanius made a significant visit to the Odesa region to spiritually support Ukrainian defenders.
In Odesa, he, along with Archbishop Athanasius, visited hospitals where wounded heroes of Ukraine are undergoing treatment.
During the visit, an important meeting took place with local authorities, military leaders, and activists to discuss urgent regional matters.
Oleg Radkovsky, the first deputy head of the regional council, presented the metropolitan with an award for his tireless efforts and spiritual support.
«Your presence is crucial for us in these challenging times. The Church and your prayers are a pillar for our defenders», – stated Radkovsky in his speech.
At the ceremonial event, the Metropolitan awarded distinctions for personal contributions to the spiritual revival of Ukraine.
In his address, the metropolitan raised issues of spiritual security and the role of the Church in modern Ukrainian society, noting how the aggressor attempts to exploit religion for its own goals.
It is also worth mentioning that awards were given to regional council deputies who actively contribute to the development of the area.
