Gennadiy Harmyder is not only a graphic artist but also a painter who has made a significant impact on Ukrainian art. His works encompass various genres, including cityscapes, still lifes, and portraits that reflect both contemporary and fictional characters. The artist created around 200 book illustrations and over 20 ex-libris.
“Gennadiy Harmyder left a rich legacy, portraying Odessa in his works. His pieces are part of the collections of many museums and private collections,” emphasized the director of the Odessa Museum.

The exhibition features more than 100 works created over 50 years of his artistic career.
Among the displayed works are series of etchings that reflect the history of Odessa, including the series “Odessa in the early 19th century” and “Life in Odessa at the turn of the 19th to 20th century.”
A unique piece at the exhibition is a map of the historical center of Odessa, crafted in the etching technique and consisting of nine separate parts.
The series “My Ukraine” showcases the beauty of various regions of Ukraine through landscape sketches.
Harmyder's paintings evoke special interest, as his artworks were last exhibited in large numbers in 2005.
