The Logistics Forum 2025 took place in Odessa: CONTAINER TRANSPORT INNOVATIONS. ADAPTATION. DIGITALIZATION. SECURITY.
Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, Sergey Kropyva, highlighted the initiatives of the regional government and its collaboration with the business community, particularly:
• the recovery and development strategy for the Odessa region through 2027, which aims to establish our region as a modern transportation hub;
• enhancing port security and the safety of their employees;
• international cooperation and engagement with global partners for investment in Odessa’s transport infrastructure.
Participants were informed about potential solutions to challenges hindering the region from fully realizing its potential, including:
• customs procedure optimization (reducing bureaucracy in cargo processing, digitalizing processes, preventing risks of transport congestion);
• lack of effective monitoring mechanisms for customs and port performance (implementation of a KPI system);
• the need for simplified customs control procedures;
• security situations and ensuring uninterrupted operations for strategically important companies;
• employee reservations in the maritime sector.
The Regional Military Administration is always ready for constructive dialogue and collaboration with business representatives to achieve the best outcomes in improving and rebuilding our region.

Logistics Forum 2025 – a key event in Ukrainian transport logistics, organized by the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, uniting key players in the logistics market to create solutions shaping the future of Ukrainian logistics.
Participants included top managers from container lines, port terminals, customs, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, and more than 100 industry experts.
The main focus of the forum was on challenges and trends in the logistics sector for 2025, as well as opportunities for further development. Special attention was given to port operations amid wartime, automation and digitalization of logistics processes, protection of Ukrainian ports, and the industry's future development prospects.
