The press service of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine reports that a new high-speed boat will significantly improve logistics.
This vessel will reduce fuel costs and expedite the delivery of maritime pilots to ships, addressing a previous challenge.
“The launch of this new pilot boat is a significant step towards strengthening our fleet and enhancing port productivity,” says AMPU head Oleksandr Semyrha.
The boat is named after Serhiy Cheberyakov, an experienced pilot who dedicated over 18 years to maritime affairs. Sadly, he lost his life in 2023 while trying to escape from the occupied territory of Kherson region.
In December 2024, the pilot boat “Bolotyn” began operations on the Danube, built with support from USAID, while the construction of a third boat is currently underway in Izmir, Turkey.
