Last night in the Primorsky district of Odessa, a fire erupted on the balcony and in the apartment on the second floor of a three-story residential building.

The blaze was promptly extinguished.

During the firefighting operations, the owner of the apartment (a 1992-born citizen) was rescued after injuring himself while attempting to escape. Firefighters provided assistance until the ambulance arrived.

The probable cause of the fire is «carelessness while smoking».

The State Emergency Service deployed 8 units of equipment and 31 firefighters to the scene.
