On June 17, Odesa experienced a massive missile strike that damaged dozens of residential buildings in the Primorsky district.

Particularly, the most significant damages occurred to buildings on Oleksiy Markevych and Novoselskoho streets.

As of 12:00 PM, specialists reported:

  •  damage to 51 residential buildings, with at least 6 experiencing severe destruction;
  •  over 130 apartments were affected, many of which had broken windows, damaged doors, and balcony blocks;
  •
  •  more than 200 sq. m of roofing destroyed;
  • in some buildings, essential services such as water supply and electricity were disconnected.

Emergency crews were promptly deployed right after the attack. Initial work is being done to seal windows, assess structures, and prepare for roof repairs.

All individuals who lost their homes have been provided with temporary housing. Two families are currently staying at the Social and Psychological Assistance Center of the Odesa City Council.

All affected residents have been informed about the possibility of receiving financial compensation from the city for housing rentals.

The city council is providing comprehensive support to the victims. Psychologists, social services, and volunteers are working actively.

Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, expressed gratitude to all services for their coordinated and professional response.
