New Recruitment Center for Ground Forces Opens in Odesa

Key Highlights:

  • A new recruitment center for the Ground Forces has opened in Odesa;
  • The center provides a full range of services for enlistment, including the “18-24” contract;
  • Veterans assist new recruits in selecting positions;
  • It is possible to serve directly in Odesa.

Odesa has joined the cities where the Ground Forces recruitment center operates.

This center is part of a network of recruitment centers already functioning in Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro. Established in 2024 through the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it aims to simplify the enlistment process. This was reported by the center's press service.

The center welcomes anyone wishing to apply their skills in the army: drivers, medics, artillery maintenance personnel, and drone pilots.

Among the advantages offered by the center:

the ability to prepare all necessary documents on-site, including signing the “Contract 18-24” – from personal file creation to psychological testing;

a comprehensive service package that was previously available only with a personal visit to the office in Kyiv.

It is noted that the center is staffed by veterans who can provide valuable insights to recruits based on their experience when choosing positions in the Defense Forces.

“Working at the station is indeed effective. Our candidates, who wish to enlist but cannot travel to Kyiv, come and register at our mobile points and join the Ground Forces,” says Dmitry Andreichik, a senior officer in the recruitment department.

If someone wants to serve specifically in Odesa, this is entirely feasible, asserts the military:

“We will specifically look for positions in the city of Odesa, not in other regions.”
