Every year, during the warm season, the employees of the Odesa «Service Center» engage in cleaning and maintaining monuments that are not classified as cultural heritage. They oversee 45 such monuments spread throughout the city.

Additionally, monuments undergo repairs and painting as needed.

Currently, specialists from the «Service Center» have completed ongoing repairs on six public art objects and landscaping elements:

• the monument «Abduction of Europe»;
• the monument to hero pilot M. Gastello;
• the monument to Borys Derev'yanko;
• the commemorative plaque;
• the monument to T.G. Shevchenko;
• the landscaping element located at Ovidiopolskyi Road, corner of Central Airport street.

As part of the ongoing repairs, stairs were renovated, all damages on the structures were addressed, chips and stains on the tiled surfaces were repaired, and all painted elements were refreshed.

To prevent potential vandalism, the monuments are treated with an anti-vandal protective solution at the final stage of the work.

Moreover, starting from spring, when the weather is favorable, and continuing until autumn, the monuments are cleaned twice a month. Special chemical agents (for tiles or granite) and specialized equipment are used for dust removal. A lift is also employed if necessary.
