On July 9, 2025, in Odessa, patrol officers Mykola Morozov and Serhiy Onufran received an urgent call about an injured dog on Lvivska Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the animal had sustained severe injuries, likely from a gunshot.

With the help of the reporting citizen, volunteers, and the director of the Odessa Zoo, the dog was carefully transported to a veterinary clinic.

Currently, the dog is under medical supervision and its condition is stable.

Authorities have initiated a criminal investigation into the case of animal cruelty.
