Enhancing Accessibility for All in Odesa

The Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Serhiy Kotsyuba, held a meeting with experts from the Barrier-Free Council.

The primary goal is to create comfortable and secure conditions for the movement of people with disabilities, veterans, and other mobility-impaired groups.

Currently, a review of existing routes is underway, assessing the condition of pedestrian infrastructure, tourist attractions, service areas, and navigation systems.

“We aim for every visitor and resident of Odesa to experience the city not only as beautiful but also genuinely accessible,” said Oleksiy Morozov, advisor to the Mayor on barrier-free space issues.

The project will progress in several phases, including consultations with the public, experts, and representatives of mobility-impaired groups.
