Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov held a meeting with leaders of key enterprises responsible for heating, water, gas, and electricity supply. The main goal of the meeting was to assess the city's readiness for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
According to reports from enterprise leaders, preparations for winter are at the final stage. All heating plants are ready for operation, with final regulatory works underway.
The city has installed 11 cogeneration units, which are now being connected. By the end of the year, the delivery of six additional new units is expected as per the schedule agreed with international partners.
Educational and medical institutions have been provided with alternative energy sources.
DTEK has prepared an emergency stock of materials and a clear action plan in case of potential attacks on the energy infrastructure.
Representatives of “Odesagas” confirmed that there is enough gas for a stable heating season.
“Another challenging winter lies ahead. We all understand the conditions we will face. But we have already proven that we can endure!” emphasized the Mayor of Odesa.
The city authorities continue to work on enhancing Odesa's energy resilience and urge residents to support each other and be prepared to act collectively in the face of challenges.
