Collaboration between Odesa and Moldovan Communities

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with the leaders of the Moldovan communities of Leova, Tudora, and Stefan-Voda — Oleksandr Buzhoryan, Veronika Mokan, and Vladislav Kocu.
This meeting was part of intermunicipal cooperation under a Memorandum signed during a roundtable focused on fostering partnerships between Ukraine and Moldova.
Participants discussed community development, particularly the 20,000-strong Moldovan community residing in Odesa region.
Veronika Mokan emphasized that the border town of Tudora has accepted twice as many Ukrainian refugees as its population since the onset of the full-scale war, continuing to provide support.
Mayor Vladislav Kocu of Stefan-Voda personally gathered humanitarian aid and delivered it to Ukraine, maintaining constant communication with Ukrainian communities.
The parties also addressed common challenges on the path to European integration. Notably, Oleksandr Buzhoryan discussed the peculiarities of administrative-territorial reform in Moldova.
Additionally, issues of energy resilience, transport corridor development, infrastructure modernization, and security were raised. The focus was on finding solutions based on trust, solidarity, and shared European values.
