Since the beginning of 2025, the municipal company «Miskzelentrest» in Odesa has removed 1522 hazardous trees and branches, including those damaged by severe weather.

The inventory of trees is conducted by the Department of Urban Management in collaboration with the Department of Ecology. Based on these assessments, «Miskzelentrest» undertakes removal and trimming tasks.

Overall, the removal of hazardous trees is carried out upon public requests, following weather events, or as part of urban beautification programs.

Additionally, specialists are engaged in stump removal, with 828 stumps already removed this year. Young trees are being planted in their places.

Stump removal is a challenging task. Previously, municipal services lacked the necessary equipment, complicating the process. Now, new machinery such as the Rotor Speedy 80/100 stump grinder and the KATA KF1404 tractor are employed for timely and efficient operations.
With this new equipment, the time required for stump removal has significantly decreased: removing a 70 cm diameter stump now takes just 40 minutes compared to the previous 12 hours manually.
