Environmental Crisis in Odesa: Consequences of Nature's Assault

Two beaches in Odesa have been found with stains resembling oil, alongside dead birds. An investigation has been initiated, and relevant services have been dispatched to the site.

"Oil-like stains and dead birds were discovered around the Dolphin and Lanzheron beaches. The size and origin of these stains are currently being determined"

Environmental inspection, the municipal service "Coastline", the RVS, and representatives from the Department of Municipal Security of the Odesa City Council have already responded to the scene.

Russian Strikes on Odesa and the Region

On December 23, Russian occupiers attacked the port of Odesa again using strike drones. As a result of the attack, a civilian vessel under the flag of Lebanon, transporting Ukrainian soy, was damaged.

Additionally, on the night of December 22, Russian forces targeted the port and energy infrastructure of Odesa region, causing containers with flour and oil to ignite at the "Pivdenny" port.

One of the most extensive attacks on Odesa and the region occurred on the night of December 13, when a significant part of the region, including Odesa, was left without electricity, water, and heating, with the city of Artzi suffering the most damage.

Moreover, the occupiers have begun to heavily shell the bridge in Mayaki on the Odesa - Reni highway, complicating access to border crossings and western settlements of the region. Authorities and transport services have developed alternative routes.
