The Odesa regional prosecutor's office has submitted an indictment against a former official from one of the district administrations. The official is accused of receiving illegal benefits (part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was established that the man, while temporarily serving as the head of the district administration, offered a businessman to pay 100 thousand UAH for the issuance of permits for four trading points. He also promised to assist in signing contracts for using these commercial objects. In addition to the main sum, the official intended to receive a monthly "fee" of 1,000 UAH for each point to ensure uninterrupted business operations. In June, law enforcement detained the representative of the district administration "in the act" during the receipt of illegal benefits in his office. He has since been dismissed from his position. The measures to expose the illegal activities were carried out by prosecutors in cooperation with investigators from the district police under the operational support of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
