A new initiative called "Treats with Education" has launched in Odessa.
This initiative, proposed last year by the city's Department of Education, has received enthusiastic support from the residents and has become a cherished tradition in our city.
At school fairs, you can buy delicious treats made with love by our children, parents, and teachers, all in the form of donations.
Every purchase of these treats is not just a tasty snack but also a contribution to our common cause.
"Treats from educators have united us once again around a shared goal – to support those who defend our country every day. All funds raised will be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring our heroes feel our gratitude", stated Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
The Director of the Department of Education, Olena Buinevych, expressed gratitude for the incredible support, noting that the "Treats with Education" initiative raised nearly 1.7 million UAH in just a few days.
Additionally, treats and gifts from children were delivered to veterans undergoing rehabilitation.

In Odessa, rehabilitation departments operate in nearly all city hospitals, but inpatient assistance is only part of the long process of integrating veterans into civilian life. Next steps include adaptive sports, vocational retraining, or starting their own businesses, allowing individuals with disabilities to provide for themselves and their families.
