The "16 Days Against Violence" campaign has concluded in Odessa, taking place annually from November 25 to December 10.
The aim of the campaign was to raise public awareness about domestic violence issues and to ensure equal rights for all. A series of thematic events were held across the city.
Local authorities, city council members, representatives of the National Police, students from the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, and youth organization members actively participated in the campaign.
The official launch took place on November 25 in the City Garden under the slogan "Music Against Violence".
Students from the Odessa National Music Academy performed musical pieces and poetry, alongside an exhibition of children's drawings organized by the charity organization "Family".
Representatives of the "Path to Home" charity handed out flowers to women as a symbol of support against violence.
Various activities were organized for school students, including educational hours, workshops, competitions, and round table discussions.
The Children's Affairs Service conducted informational campaigns, flash mobs, theatrical activities, and discussions.
District administrations, along with social services, organized street events in parks, discussing domestic violence issues, distributing informational materials, and offering counseling services.
Additionally, actions were held in honor of international days related to violence against women, human rights, and combating slavery.
The Department of Labor conducted surveys to assess public awareness of domestic violence, with results to be utilized in future efforts.
The events were conducted in accordance with the mayor's directive.
