Alexander Filatov, the First Deputy Mayor of Odessa, welcomed participants of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative Technologies in Territorial Planning».
The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
In his opening remarks, Alexander Filatov emphasized that since the onset of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the city faces numerous challenges, particularly the restoration of destroyed architectural monuments.
«Moreover, an essential task today is territorial planning and the development of urban planning documentation considering what these areas should look like after the end of the hostilities. Scientific research and the implementation of innovative solutions are critically needed. I hope that the conference results will be beneficial for the restoration of our city and country», - he noted.
The conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre, the Odessa City Council, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland), Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, and other institutions.
