Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov has once again made it to the list of the best universities in Ukraine, securing a top position in the 2024 Consolidated Ranking.

This information was reported by the educational portal «Osvita.ua».

According to the ranking, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv continues to lead Ukrainian higher education, holding the top spot for the eighth consecutive year.

It's worth noting that in the overall ranking for 2023, ONU named after Mechnikov held the 8th position.

The 2024 Consolidated Ranking of Ukrainian universities includes results from 235 higher education institutions.

To compile the ranking, data from the most authoritative national rankings, such as «Top-200 Ukraine», «Scopus», and «NMT Score for Contracts» are utilized, each employing different evaluation criteria.

Previously, Odesa State Environmental University (ODEKU) achieved the 15th position among all Ukrainian universities for its effectiveness.

As a reminder, at the beginning of 2024, it became known that the Ministry of Education of Ukraine plans to reorganize by merging Odesa Environmental University and the Physical and Chemical Institute for Environmental Protection and Human Safety with Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
