Odesa National University named after Mechnikov secured the tenth position in the new ranking of Ukraine's best universities according to «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025».

According to the updated list of Ukrainian universities, Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko claimed the top spot, reaffirming its prestigious status.

In second place is Lviv Polytechnic, which improved its previous year's ranking.

Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Sikorsky holds the third position, maintaining its rank from last year.

Sumy State University comes in fourth, followed by Lviv National University named after Franko in fifth.

In sixth place is Kharkiv National University named after I. Franko.

The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences is seventh.

Carpathian National University named after Franko is in eighth place.

Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute rounds out the top ten.

This ranking has been compiled for the ninth consecutive year by the Euroeducation International Project Center and the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence.

Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko consistently ranks among the best universities in the country. Last year, it was in second place, falling behind the National Technical University of Ukraine.

The creators of this year's ranking took into account the contemporary challenges and transformations in higher education caused by the war and structural reforms.
