An international delegation from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) is visiting Odesa.
This visit, featuring five UN ambassadors and other distinguished guests, has been organized by UNDP in Ukraine as part of its collaboration with UNOPS and UNFPA.
During their working visit, the delegation toured projects being implemented with UN support.
The city mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly for the involvement in the renovation of one of the departments at Hospital No. 8.
Gennady Trukhanov highlighted that this facility operates as a standard hospital and does not provide emergency services. However, it has already saved numerous lives, as it receives victims from hostile attacks needing urgent medical attention. This has been facilitated by highly qualified staff working in excellent conditions with new equipment.
Moreover, the meeting participants discussed future cooperation, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as sewerage system renovation and housing construction for internally displaced persons.
