At the Odesa Specialized Children's Home No. 1, a palliative care unit operates where children with severe illnesses receive professional medical support.
The youngest child is just 1 year and 3 months old, while the oldest is 15. Many of these children have congenital nervous system disorders, such as cerebral palsy.
The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment funded by the city budget and supported by philanthropists.
Children receive free treatment, specialized enteral nutrition, and are cared for in comfortable conditions, surrounded by attentive medical staff.
In addition to palliative care, the Children's Home also offers medical rehabilitation services for the children.
This week, the facility was visited by representatives of the Kyiv District Administration, Compassion Medical (USA), and the CHURCH "House of Prayer".
During the meeting, current needs of the facility were discussed, and an agreement was reached to assist in purchasing medical equipment that will significantly improve child care and ease the workload of the staff.
