The incident took place yesterday, February 7, around 10 PM. The victim suffered a severe arm injury.

This was reported by the police.

The investigative group of the local police department preliminarily established that a 53-year-old man living near the station was on the tracks near the platform and did not respond to the signals from the train driver. The driver applied emergency braking, but could not avoid hitting the man. The victim was hospitalized with an amputated arm.

Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Odessa District Police Department No. 1 have registered the case in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This pertains to violations of traffic safety rules or railway transport operation that resulted in serious bodily injury. All circumstances of the incident are being investigated. The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
