In Odesa, a tragic event occurred when a 72-year-old teacher and mother of a fallen soldier was assaulted in the office of a local organization while attempting to secure a medical agreement with the company "Intosana". The woman sustained serious injuries, and doctors warn of the risk of a second stroke due to the stress she endured after losing her son.
This information was conveyed by Olena Buinevych, the director of the Department of Education and Science of OMR.
She noted that individuals claiming to be employees of an organization linked to officials are persistently harassing the 72-year-old woman who teaches at a school in Odesa.
"Recently, she approached the office of this organization, where she was promised a medical agreement. However, after a verbal dispute, an office worker struck her in the chest, causing her to fall, and then they pinned her down, hitting her on the head.
The assailant fled the office as quickly as age allowed. She returned to work but started feeling unwell. Emergency services were called, and they reported the situation to law enforcement", - added Buinevych.
She also mentioned that the attacker attempted to obtain the victim's phone number and that the incident is being framed in a way that suggests the victim attacked the office worker.
"The narrative is being twisted as if the 72-year-old woman, who suffered a stroke after her son's death, was assaulting the office representative. Have you seen her? She weighs barely 50 kg and can hardly breathe! How could she have kicked a woman trained in martial arts?", - noted the official.
Olena Buinevych emphasized that she is receiving threats on social media demanding action against the teacher who supposedly assaults people, while the victim is being "morally humiliated".
"I believe that law enforcement will investigate all aspects of this case. I am not writing this to lay blame. I support my colleague because logic and facts are on her side. But I do not assert who is guilty. I am simply relaying her words.
Right now, I ask you: let her have peace. This person is on the verge of a second stroke; she nearly lost consciousness twice today. She is not alone. She lives in Odesa and works within our community of 17,000. I looked at her as if it were my own mother someone was trying to choke", - concluded the official.
