During a fish protection raid, inspectors in collaboration with border guards and police uncovered a significant violation of fishing regulations.

A man was caught on the Belgorod Canal illegally fishing using prohibited nets. As a result, the violator caught 9 white amurs and 34 carps, totaling over 100 kg.

The damage to Ukraine's fish stocks amounted to 158,746 hryvnias. A response team from the National Police was called to the scene. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the violator, and materials are being prepared for opening a criminal case. The police confiscated the illegally caught fish, nets, and a wooden boat.
