A fire broke out in the Primorsky district of Odesa, where underground electric cables were burning. Rescuers discovered the body of a woman, whose identity is currently being verified. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
The incident occurred yesterday evening, June 29, on Bernardazzi Street. The fire started in the transformer station's premises, where underground cables were ablaze. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
"Unfortunately, at the scene of the fire, in the shaft under the transformer station, the body of a woman was found, who reportedly died from electrocution. The State Emergency Service deployed 2 units of equipment and 8 firefighters to the scene," the report states.
