From October 3 to 13, 2024, the Ukrainian billiards championship for men and women with disabilities, veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and their families took place in the capital.

Athletes from the community organization «Odesa-Basket» participated and achieved remarkable results in the championship.

Among the veterans, the first place was secured by Serhiy Kotsyuba, while Valeriy Chuhuiev and Dmytro Danylov earned third places.

During an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov congratulated the «Odesa-Basket» athletes on their victory.

«You are a true example of courage and resilience. Your achievements inspire us all and demonstrate that there are no barriers for those who have a goal and strive for victory,» the mayor of Odesa expressed pride in the winners' achievements.

Additionally, Hennadii Trukhanov reminded everyone about the «Social Taxi» project that provides free transportation in the city for people with disabilities.

«This project is a significant step towards ensuring equal opportunities for all Odesa residents. We aim to create comfortable conditions for every citizen of our city,» the mayor noted.
