On October 19, 2024, the III stage of the national cross country championships was held in Victory Park, Odesa. Athletes competed in 12 age categories across distances of 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8 km.

More than 60 qualified athletes from various regions of Ukraine participated in the event, including competitors from Odesa.

In the 1 km race, the top times were set by Odesa's Yelyzaveta Sheremeta (4:29) and Andriy Zasnov (4:55).

In the 3 km race, Ksenia Danilyuk (19:54) and Vyacheslav Balashov (14:00) emerged as the fastest.

Vladimir Peresunko achieved the best result in the 4 km distance - 29:48.

In the 6 km race, Hanna Hilyanchuk finished second, losing to an athlete from Chernihiv, while Roman Stoyanov secured first place in the 8 km race with a time of 30:19.

Following the conclusion of the 4 stages and the final part of the national championships, the Ukrainian national team will be formed to participate in the European Championship, set to take place on December 8 in Turkey.

The event was organized by the Ukrainian Athletics Federation in collaboration with the public organization SEASIDE RUNNERS ODS with the support of the Odesa City Council.
