Young athletes from Odessa are showcasing their talents at the «Together for Ukraine School Leagues» competitions. 

The grand opening of the III (city) stage of the «Together for Ukraine School Leagues» took place at Odessa Lyceum No. 84. 

This year, over 260 school teams will compete in sports such as basketball, volleyball, futsal, orienteering, rugby, handball, cheerleading, track and field, and chess. 
Last year, the number of teams was 119, indicating a growing enthusiasm and engagement among Odessa's students. 

«Sports strengthen not only the body but also the spirit. Involving students in sports lays the foundation for their future»,  - emphasized the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov. 

The mayor also reminded that Odessa is one of the first cities to implement the «Path of Champions» project, aimed at preparing Olympic champions from school age. 

The event was held as part of the unified physical education lesson «Odessa's Education on a Sports Wave», organized by the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council.
