Boxing Championship in Odesa: Celebrating Achievements and Moments

The Ukrainian Boxing Championship among men and women (elite) 2025, dedicated to the Security Service of Ukraine, concluded triumphantly in Odesa!

From March 9 to 16, the «Olimpiiets» sports complex became the venue for 204 top athletes from the country, including 69 women and 135 men, competing for victory while showcasing their skills and determination.

Among the medalists were representatives from Odesa region:

  • Nikita Pohozhyi (63.5 kg) Coaches — Serhienyuk Mykhailo and Poberezhiets Yevhenii
  • Havryliuk Vladyslav (51 kg) Coaches — Bylyk Yevhenii and Kharlamov Valerii
  • Tagiev Isa (54 kg) Coaches — Osipchuk Volodymyr and Hordiienko Ihor

The total prize fund for the competition was 1,000,000 UAH!
Each champion in 12 women's and 13 men's weight categories received 40,000 UAH in prizes.
All finalists were awarded medals, diplomas, while champions received trophies. Coaches and mentors were also recognized for their support.

During the ceremonial part of the finals, the First Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kharlov congratulated the athletes, coaches, and guests, emphasizing the high level of organization and the athletes' skills.

The 2025 Ukrainian Championship once again proved that Ukrainian boxing embodies strength, character, and a relentless drive for victory! Odesa region takes pride in its athletes and continues to support them on their journey to new heights!
