Odessa is committed to enhancing adaptive sports initiatives. 

The city's mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov, and the Barrier-Free Council team visited the «Arena» sports club to assess the facilities available for sports activities. 

The club is already providing rehabilitation services for veterans of the Armed Forces and is actively developing these services in collaboration with the local government. 

During the visit, particular attention was given to the accessibility of the facilities for individuals with disabilities. 

«The facility offers excellent training conditions, but we noted a critical issue — the lack of an accessible restroom for wheelchair users. Additionally, there are several other aspects that require improvement. It is encouraging that the club's management is open to dialogue — we are working together to find technical solutions to make the space genuinely accessible», remarked Gennadiy Trukhanov.
