The draw for the main draw of the third Grand Slam tournament of the 2023 season – Wimbledon – has taken place. The first opponents for Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, and Yulia Starodubtseva have been determined.

Svitolina (14) received the 14th seed and will face Anna Bondar (75, Hungary) in the first round. Recently, at Roland Garros, the Ukrainian secured a hard-fought victory.

Kostyuk (26), seeded 26th, will meet qualifier Veronika Erjavec (171, Slovenia) in her opening match. This will be their first encounter.

Yastremska (41) faced an unfortunate draw, as her first opponent will be the world number two Coco Gauff. In all three previous matches, Gauff has emerged victorious, including in Madrid this April.

Starodubtseva (67) will compete against wild card holder Francesca Jones (125, Great Britain). The players have not faced each other before.

The main draw of Wimbledon is set to begin on Monday, June 30.
