The 25th anniversary exhibition of cutting-edge technologies, CEATEC-2024, took place in Chiba, Japan.
This year, for the second time, Ukrainian companies are presenting their innovations at Asia's largest international exhibition. The delegation from the Odessa City Council showcased IT developments at a joint stand. Tamila Afanasieva, the director of the 'Odesa 5T Grant Office', presented projects from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science of the International Humanitarian University.
The Odessa delegation also participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in the sister city of Yokohama. This conference gathered global leaders in urban development and technology innovation. During their visit to Japan, the delegation had protocol meetings with the Mayor of Yokohama, local council leaders, and also met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.
Additionally, working discussions were held with representatives from Yokohama's municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Programme office. Important infrastructure projects for Odessa were discussed with several Japanese companies, including Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei. Moreover, negotiations took place with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, during which they exchanged experiences on preserving cultural heritage.
Japanese society expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their fight for freedom and openness to cooperation with the Odessa community. Together, we are bringing Victory closer!
