In Odesa, at the «European» Lyceum, a conference was held as part of the Open Educational Forum #EducationOdesa – 2023, dedicated to the topic of «Digital Innovations in Education: Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies».
The main goal of the conference was to familiarize participants with modern digital technologies used in education, particularly ChatGPT and other digital tools that assist educators in their professional activities.
More than 200 participants attended, including representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the State Scientific Institution «Institute for Modernization of Education Content», as well as representatives from educational companies and NGOs interested in implementing digital technologies in education.
The conference was opened by Iryna Stolbova, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council. She emphasized the importance of implementing digital technologies in schools and adhering to Ukrainian legislation when selecting digital solutions.
During the conference, discussions were held on the following topics:
- Digitalization of education during and after the war;
- Creating a digital educational space;
- Using digital tools in educational institutions;
- Safe educational environment;
- Application of ChatGPT in educational activities.
The conference resulted in the adoption of a resolution highlighting the need to form a working group to develop Ukraine's digital educational space. Recommendations were also made for national developers to adhere to state standards and personal data protection.
The conference was organized by the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council, the State Scientific Institution «Institute for Modernization of Education Content», and companies offering digital solutions.
