The Ukrainian company TENETA has unveiled a new tool for combating enemy drones — the disposable net launcher MITLA 1. Its primary function is to neutralize FPV drones and reconnaissance quadcopters by entangling their propellers with a specialized net.
Weighing 365 grams, the MITLA has compact dimensions of 200 mm in length and 40 mm in diameter, making it easy to carry in military gear. To use it, one simply pulls the safety pin, aims, and presses a button, after which the deployed net measuring 3.5×3.5 meters automatically unfolds within 0.2 seconds of launch, hindering the drone's movement.
The MITLA exhibits stable performance in various temperature conditions — both in heat and cold. The maximum effective firing range is up to 25 meters. The device has a strong recoil due to the use of a 7.62 mm caliber cartridge, so it is recommended to use it with both hands.
MITLA is positioned as an affordable solution for rapid response to aerial threats, particularly relevant in positional warfare situations.
