Ukraine is embarking on a new chapter in artificial intelligence development with the establishment of AI Factory. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will create the first state platform for launching and scaling AI solutions within the country. This ensures that state and citizen data remains safeguarded within national data centers, facilitating faster development of AI products for the public and defense sectors.
The AI Factory will host key state AI services developed by WINWIN AI Center of Excellence for the Ministry. Initially, an AI assistant will be implemented within the Diia application. This infrastructure will also be utilized for creating an AI tutor in Mriya and for projects in defense, healthcare, and scientific research.
AI Factory encompasses:
- hardware for AI services: computing clusters, servers, data storage
- software for model training and data preparation
- tools for data handling and integration with registries
- educational programs for specialists working with AI solutions
The launch of AI Factory marks a significant step towards technological sovereignty and digital security in Ukraine. It represents the beginning of an independent AI ecosystem where solutions are developed in Ukraine for Ukrainians.
