Amazon Unveils Smart Glasses for Drivers

Amazon has introduced a cutting-edge product – smart glasses crafted to improve delivery processes and ensure driver safety. This device allows drivers to scan packages, follow step-by-step routes, and confirm deliveries without the need for a smartphone.
The glasses are equipped with artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies, including built-in cameras that create a projection display. It shows everything from navigation prompts to hazard alerts and delivery tasks. When a driver parks safely, the glasses activate automatically, displaying essential information such as package locations in the truck and precise addresses.
The display also offers turn-by-turn navigation to the recipient's address, utilizing Amazon's geospatial technologies, eliminating the need for drivers to constantly check their smartphones. This feature is particularly useful in complex delivery scenarios, such as apartment buildings.
The glasses come with a small controller that attaches to the delivery vest. It includes controls, a replaceable battery for all-day use, and an emergency call button for quick communication with rescue services. The glasses are also compatible with prescription lenses and photochromic lenses that automatically adjust to lighting conditions.
