Grokipedia: Elon Musk's Alternative to Wikipedia

Elon Musk has officially launched his own version of Wikipedia called Grokipedia, based on Grok. According to reports from The Verge, some articles on Grokipedia have been directly adapted or even fully copied from Wikipedia.
Pages like those on MacBook Air, PlayStation 5, and Lincoln Mark VIII include a note stating: "Content adapted from Wikipedia, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0." The texts often match the originals word for word.
Despite Musk's claims that Grokipedia would be an "improvement" over Wikipedia, the site currently resembles an early copy of it. The homepage features only a search bar, and the articles have a simple layout with headings and links. Editing materials is not possible at the moment – the "Edit" button appears only on some pages and shows a history of changes without attribution.
Some articles also contain altered wording, particularly concerning climate change. While Wikipedia notes a "near-unanimous scientific consensus," Grokipedia casts doubt on this, suggesting "coordinated information campaigns" that supposedly exaggerate the scale of the problem.
Wikimedia Foundation representative Lauren Dickinson commented to The Verge:
"Even Grokipedia relies on the existence of Wikipedia. Since 2001, Wikipedia has remained the backbone of knowledge on the internet – independent, transparent, and created by people."
The homepage of Grokipedia states that the project currently contains around 885,000 articles – significantly less than the over 7 million found on English Wikipedia. The current version of the service is labeled as v0.1.
