Exhibition "Unseen Power" in Odesa

February 7, 2025, marks the grand opening of the exhibition titled «Unseen Power» at the Odesa National Art Museum.

This project sheds light on the nonviolent resistance of Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories, showcasing various resistance movements, methods of struggle, as well as informational and artistic opposition. It features real stories of fighting against Russian aggression.

At the opening, curator Olha Mukha will guide attendees through the exhibition.

The exhibition will feature: caricature figures of «Russian liberators» by Serhii Zakharov, which stood on the streets of Donetsk in 2014, viral memes by Maksym Palenko, documentary videos about the «wounded» cultural sites in Trostianets and Okhtyrka, filmed by the Museum Crisis Center as part of the «Wounded Culture» project, the consciousness maze «Into Appearance» with posters by Crimean artist Antik Danov depicting the schizophrenia of occupation reality, a documentary film «Resistance» by Akim Halimov, and videos from Ukrainer's «Deoccupation» project, along with works by artists Maria Kulikowska, Alevtina Kahidze, Lia Dostiieva, Yulia Po, Emine Ziyatdin, Yulia Danilevska, Diana Berg, Vera Protskykh, Yana Holubyatnikova, and Alona Maliarenko.

Exclusively for the exhibition in Odesa, the third episode of the «Wounded Culture» series will be presented — «Odesa. Oral History». This episode recounts the story of the Russian missile strike on the Odesa Art Museum on November 5, 2023, and its subsequent restoration.

The presentation of the new episode of the «Wounded Culture» series and a discussion will take place on February 8 at 4:00 PM with the participation of the director of the «Territory of Terror» museum, cultural expert Olha Honchar.
