Last evening, a fire broke out at a geriatric care facility in the village of Malihonove, covering an area of 100 square meters.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
During the firefighting efforts, rescuers discovered the bodies of three victims. Before firefighters arrived, 17 individuals were evacuated from the building, six of whom suffered from smoke inhalation. The injured were hospitalized.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service were on-site, providing assistance to 10 individuals.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. A total of 5 fire units and 20 rescuers were deployed to extinguish the flames, along with one unit from the local community.
