Autumn brings rain and wind, creating additional challenges for municipal services. Workers are hard at work on the streets of Odesa.
Eight teams from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» are on duty in Odesa's streets. These workers ensure the unobstructed flow of rainwater by clearing the stormwater grates of fallen leaves and debris carried by rain flows.
Currently, 46 units of specialized equipment and 328 workers are involved in the operations.
Drainage system cleaning is regularly performed both manually and with heavy equipment from «City Roads», including excavators, graders, and hydraulic units for flushing pipes.
Workers from the «Housing and Communal Services» are also engaged in clearing stormwater grates near buildings, sweeping, and removing fallen leaves and debris in their assigned areas.
About 180 workers from the Municipal Enterprise «City Green Trust» maintain order in the city's green spaces daily. Due to inclement weather, three trees have already been toppled and many small branches broken.
Greenery workers are sawing and removing fallen trees and branches, as well as sweeping, collecting, and hauling away a large amount of fallen leaves from parks and squares.
