Starting from August 9, 2024, comprehensive renovation works began at Heroes' Square (Tolbukhina) in Odessa.

The large-scale project was executed in phases, including roadway repairs, external lighting, and tram line upgrades.

According to Odessa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, the arrival of new modern trams necessitated repairs on certain sections of the old track to ensure their safe passage.

The renovation at Heroes' Square was completed ahead of schedule. The renewal of the rail tracks and asphalt elevation significantly increased the traffic capacity of vehicles around the square.

Additionally, based on prior traffic analysis, traffic light systems have been adjusted.

Moreover, the area has undergone improvements, including high-quality road markings and the replacement of lighting with more efficient and economical options. As a result, nighttime movement in this area has become safer, and tram operations are now smoother and quieter.
