The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, held an online meeting with the Mayor of Chisinau, Ion Cheban. They exchanged greetings on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of their cities' partnership and discussed current issues regarding their relations.

The previous meeting between the mayors of Odesa and Chisinau took place at the Summit of European City Mayors in Strasbourg, where they, along with other colleagues, discussed the role of local governance in developing civil society and implementing infrastructure projects.

Continuing their dialogue, Ion Cheban noted that Moldova is currently working on several projects with neighboring Romania and sees potential in trilateral cooperation.

Hennadiy Trukhanov and Ion Cheban agreed to establish a trilateral working group to develop joint projects in the fields of infrastructure, economy, and social support to promote sustainable urban development and strengthen cooperation among Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.

This initiative will help attract additional resources, facilitate experience exchange, and provide support to Ukrainians during these challenging wartime conditions.
